The Company

Tarisio is an Internet auction house dedicated to fine string instruments and their bows. Located in Midtown, the company conducts 8 sales a year in New York and London. www.tarisio.com

The Department

The Photography Department is responsible for roughly 10,000 images a year. Ongoing work is punctuated by projects "on-spec." New York location also handles partial workload for the smaller London office.

The Job

Position will be 10-20 hours week depending on volume and skill set of successful candidate. Schedule within traditional business week is flexible (perk!). Hours guaranteed through October 1, position subject to performance review and business need thereafter.

The Scope of the Job

-retouch and optimize large numbers of digital images quickly and efficiently

-responsible for resizing, renaming, and archiving images

-work is done on premise with an iMac, using PhotoShop CS5

-assist the photographer with preparation and organization of musical instruments (will provide training)

Candidate must have / be:

-experience with Photoshop

-proficient with Apple computers

-detail oriented

-have nominal experience in photography or related field
